Joy is more than happiness, just as happiness is more than pleasure. Pleasure is in the body. Happiness is in the mind and feelings. Joy is deep in the heart, the spirit, the center of the self.

Are you in transition, asking yourself what’s next?
(just starting out, downsized, mid-life, empty-nesters, approaching retirement)
Ever feel stuck, desperately trying to get unstuck, fighting the fear that comes when you try to move forward, and having no idea what to do next?
Or are you just stressed out and can’t ever find true relaxation?
What is your joy?,
What are your gifts to bring to the universe?
How can you live your joy?
What does living your joy mean to you?
What does living with a joyful mind mean to you?
The power of coaching lies in the fact that it provides an individual with the most critical ingredient for extraordinary, consistent success: ongoing support, detailed action plans, constructive feedback and, most importantly, high level perspective.
So, how do you do achieve your dreams, goals, visions, and reach your joyful mind state? first, realize that you can’t do it alone.
Recent studies suggest that when people attempted some kind of sustained lifestyle change alone, it lasted between 4 and 6 weeks. That’s far from permanent! I call this the parking lot phenomenon. Think about the gym parking lot in january. It’s packed solid, all day, every day. By february it’s still packed, but there are starting to be openings. By march, hey, just park anywhere!
How long do you think a lifestyle change takes to ingrain into your daily life? Well, it takes 3 weeks to develop a habit; at least twice that to break old bad ones – longer if addiction is involved. All the major weight loss companies know this – that’s why you get a personal coach with jenny craig, or a weekly meeting with weight watchers, or why people pay for a personal trainer at the gym.
So what is the answer? How do you make permanent sustained changes to your life? How do you create new pathways, new paradigms that bring you to your best life? If it were your body that needed change, you’d go to the gym, you’d change your diet, you’d probably hire a personal trainer (coach) and/or nutritionist, and you’d do the work over a sustained period of time.
Do you think it’s any different when trying to change your life????
Of course not. If you want to find your joy, share your joy, live your joy, you need some help on your side. This is why people hire therapists, life coaches, etc. I am not a therapist. I am a transformational life coach and as such, i help you successfully get past the fear, the changing of old paradigms, and create new thought patterns, behavioral structures, and get you on the right path to your joy!
